Be Encouraged!

It's a new year! Welcome 2012!!

I just finished my first semester of graduate school. When I started in September of 2011, I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect. Not only was I nervous, I was fearful. Before I started the semester a great woman of God prophesied to me about school, being fearful and how God said to follow through because I was on the right track. She doesn't know me extensively and I had shared nothing about my plans with her. I was amazed, yet, I still had so many questions. I wondered if I was ready, should I take a break from school, is this the right program for me? It wasn't that I was unsure if I was following God's plan for my life, I was unsure of myself and whether I could handle the tasks God was entrusting to me. God is faithful to His word and His plans for our life when we trust Him.

I want to encourage you. Whatever you are facing, know that God's word will come to pass. The promises of God are yes and amen. You will surely be blessed if you stay faithful and obedient.

I did a countdown to change for the last ten days of 2011, which I've posted below. I pray you will be encouraged and motivated to continue on your journey. God is not through with you yet!

Countdown to change...

Day 10...Surround yourself with like-minded people. You can tell how far your life and career will go based on the five people you spend the most time with. ~ Tyrese Gibson

Day 9... 11 is the number of confusion. 12 is the number of completion. This is your year! Align your life with God, get some things in order, and see the blessings flow in your life.

Day 8... Stop making excuses and make changes.

Day 7... Give love on THIS day and ALWAYS. It will give you a feeling of joyfulness and warm the hearts of others. *GodisLOVE

Day 6...  Have an open mind and think positive. "The power of your thoughts can open any door and you can set yourself free."~ Lucy MacDonald

Day 5...  Take time to self-reflect/evaluate. Take a look at yourself. Ten times out of ten, you are the reason for where you are in your life, NOT everyone else.

Day 4... Let God's praise continually be on your lips. You are not the source of your own strength, GOD IS.
--As long as Moses held up his hands, Israel would win, but as soon as he put his hands down, the Amalekites would start to win. Ex 17:11

Day 3... Live your life with purpose. God created each of us with purpose (fearfully and wonderfully made) and for purpose. When we don't walk in the light of and for which He created us, we succumb to a life of bondage, searching for our happiness in other things and people.

Day 2... It's time to start looking forward. Remember where He brought you from but don't dwell on the past. God grants new mercies TODAY, TOMORROW, & FOREVER. Yesterday is gone.

Day 1... You made it, be thankful, give Him praise! Move forward with a re-NEWed spirit, re-NEWed oneness w/God, new mercies, new challenges, new relationships w/like-minded people, new innovations, new blessings, new thoughts, and a new mindset.
--For as a man thinks, so is he. Prov 23:7

HAPPY NEW YEAR ~ 2012!!!
